"Meth is a thief. It steals youth, it steals health, it can steal life itself." -Governor John Hoeven
Methamphetamine is a highly addictive drug with
devastating effects on its users. It is the number one drug threat for North
Dakota and the surrounding areas. In fact, according to Shadowofmeth.com, 60%
of North Dakota's male prison population are meth users, and 80-90% of the
women prison population were arrested for meth related crimes. There is hope
for meth addicts, though, as studies have shown that treatment can work, and
there are many resources for help and recovery in North Dakota.
